USS Gerald Ford Aircraft Carrier Deployed Ahead of Schedule

The vessel is expected to head to the Mediterranean.

The U.S. Navy deployed the USS Gerald Ford Carrier Strike Group yesterday ahead of its scheduled journey as President Donald Trump continues to consider U.S. involvement in the conflict between Israel and Iran. The USS Nimitz was sent from Southeast Asia last week to the Persian Gulf to join the USS Carl Vinson, already present in the Mediterranean.

President Donald Trump posted several messages to social media after Israel launched its first direct air strike into Iran’s capital city of Tehran last week, some with warnings for Iran. When asked on Wednesday if the U.S. will also launch a direct strike against Iran, President Trump simply said: “I may do it, I may not do it.”

The president has repeatedly called for Iran to unconditionally surrender, stating that that nation cannot have a nuclear weapon.

As the Lord Leads, Pray with Us…

  • For Secretary John Phelan to be led by the Lord as he heads the Navy and Marine Corps.
  • For God to give President Trump wisdom as he assesses the situation in Iran and Israel and the U.S.’ involvement.
